In 2010, BOLC was praying about our missions program and what God wanted us to do in this area. We have supported multiple ministries (Transformed by the Word, a women's prison ministry, Crusader Youth Camp, Special Touch (Special Needs) ministry, PFWB world missions, etc). But we always felt there was a specific area God was calling us too. Going forward in 2014, we met a native Kenyan, Bishop Benjamin Nakuku, who had come to America to get an education and received his Master's of Divinity at Campbell University.
Pastor and his wife were attending a church plant seminar in Dunn, NC and met Benjamin and instantly connected to this wonderful man of God. We began to inquire information of who, what, where, when and how God was working in his life. After much discussion and prayer God told us this was the mission we are to support, along with others throughout the PFWB conference.
Today, BOLC supports him with a monthly salary, he has built a huge sanctuary with sound equipment and instruments, a Certified Bible College to train and disciple pastors and leaders of different ministries to carry the gospel throughout Kenya. Currently, he has trained 34 pastors to plant churches in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. An 80 bed orphanage filled to capacity with many giving monthly support for all 80 orphans. An Elementary school for approx. 200 children, 2 wells for community to have fresh water, several acres of land to plant crops for the orphanage food, dairy cows for milk, and chickens and goats for orphanage food. All of this has been accomplished miraculously in 9 years. BOLC knows without a doubt that God has supplied all the needs for His kingdom work in Kenya.
We are so thankful for everyone who has given above and beyond for His Glory!
